Carolyn is Professor of Marketing and Strategy at Cardiff Business School where she teaches marketing with a focus on small business innovation. She is a Cardiff Business School Public Value Engagement Fellow, an ASPECT Social Science Innovation Fellow, and a member of Cardiff Business School’s Management Board.
She has published in Journal of Business Research, Marketing Letters, European Journal of Marketing and Journal of Advertising, among others. She has published an edited collection of ethical and social marketing contributions; and is working on a new book of small business case studies. Carolyn is the long standing Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Strategic Marketing where she strives to support publications from established academics, and to encourage early career academics to develop their work from conception to publication. She is also Associate Editor for the Marketing track of Journal of Business Research.
Carolyn’s current research interests focus on sustainability and the positive contributions marketing can make to society, in particular local communities, social enterprise, and ecological approaches to business.
